Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients to make the sauce that you pour over this pudding when it comes out of the oven

Instructions
  1. Mix the butter and sugar together. Add the egg.
  2. Add the lemon juice, baking soda and apricot jam and mix.
  3. Add the milk and flour to this mixture, a little bit at a time, alternating between the flour and the milk. Incorporate well.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased ovenproof baking tray and bake for 30 minutes or until baked.
  5. Stir the ingredients for the sauce together until the sugar has dissolved and then boil for 5 minutes.
  6. Pour the sauce over the hot pudding when it comes out of the oven.
